Work in Progress

A group of strangers meets Friday afternoon and performs (solo and in ensemble) in a public ‘musical’ soirée Sunday evening. Everyone is welcome, with or without stage experience!

Day 1 (Friday from 1:00 pm)
Getting to know each other – musically, theatrically and on the dance floor. A tailor-made programme will be created according to the participant’s individual interests and talents.

Day 2 (Saturday from 10:00 am)
Staging, choreography and practice makes perfect. 
Individual and group coaching sessions will prepare the participants for the performance.

Day 3 (Sunday from 10:00 am)
Dress rehearsal, final feedback and let’s go!

Young Work in Progress

A block of 10 weekly 120 minute classes in musical theater (singing, dancing, acting) for young people ages 8 through 11.

The working language in the course will be mainly English and performances will also be in English, providing German speaking young people with a true immersive language learning experience, the best way to learn a foreign language! Both of the coaches are fluent in German, however, so German will be used during the learning process whenever helpful or necessary. 

The course will culminate in a performance of what has been learned for family and friends.

Coaches

Robb Correll

Robb Correll trained as an actor and singer in Oklahoma and holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Vocal Performance. He emigrated to Switzerland in 1979 as a music and theatre educator and has since worked as a theatre director, vocal coach, choir and orchestra director, Ecstatic Dance event organiser and DJ and is professor emeritus of instructional design at the Thurgau University of Teacher Education. His musical productions include Into the Woods, My Fair Lady, Fiddler on the Roof,  Brigadoon, Peter Pan, The Fantastics, Godspell, You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown, The Passion and Pippin.

Anina Rosa

Since completing her training as a musical performer at the Stage School Hamburg in 2017 and further training at the Schule für Schauspiel, Anina Rosa has been involved in various stage projects. In 2021, she launched her first own two-person musical which premiered in November 2021 and has been on tour ever since. She teaches music and voice training and since 2018 has been realising her own productions with the collective Ich so, du so? Auso! with young refugees. Most recently she was in the ensemble and was a cover for “Frau Jenny” in Dällebach Kari at the Thunerseespiele.
