Disney meets Real Housewives in this hilarious musical comedy!

Disenchanted is a wickedly funny musical where the princesses are done waiting to be rescued. This empowering, laugh-out-loud comedy gives beloved fairy tale heroines the chance to tell their stories on their own terms. Strong message of women’s empowerment without being preachy at all.

Seeking 6-10 Female Performers

Women of all shapes, sizes, ages (14+), and ethnicities needed to portray:

AUDITION PROCESS: PHASE 1

Video Submission (Due February 8, 2026)

Submit a video of yourself performing one song from a musical of your choice.

Video Requirements:

Sing to an accompaniment track (both your voice and the track must be clearly audible)
Introduce yourself on camera and share:
Which musical your song is from
Context for the song within that musical
Why you chose this particular song
File naming: Include your name in the filename (e.g., “Smith_Jane_Audition.mp4”)
Send to: robb@captivatebaern.ch
Include your telephone number and any other relevant information in your email
Submission Deadline: February 8, 2026 (we are on a tight deadline to secure the venue!)

AUDITION PROCESS: PHASE 2

In-Person Casting (By Invitation Only)

Date: Sunday, March 8, 2026
Time: 2:00 PM 5:00 PM
Location: Hinterkappelen, Aumatt (exact address will be provided to invited candidates)
Preparation: You will be asked to prepare specific song(s) from *Disenchanted*. Details will be provided with your invitation.

REHEARSAL & PERFORMANCE SCHEDULE

Rehearsals

Early March through June 2026 / Most Sundays: 10:00 AM 5:00 PM / 2-3 Saturdays: 10:00 AM 5:00 PM

(We will work out the details once the cast has been formed.)

Tech Week:

Thursday, June 18: move-in and tech rehearsal in the afternoon before evening performance

Friday, June 19: Keep afternoon free for potential additional rehearsal

Performances: June 18, 19, 20, 2026 at La Capella, Bern

Compensation

This is a non-professional community theatre production. Performers are not compensated. This is a passion project bringing together talented artists to create exceptional theatre.
